It might seem contradictory, especially with the numerous layoffs in big tech companies and artificial intelligence threatening to replace them. It feels more like a decline or extermination.

However, it’s quite the opposite. AI, rather than being a competitor, is a tool that has transformed developers, enabling them to break all barriers. This is due to its high capacity for handling information and, in particular, its proficiency in managing code.

Indeed, all this information has been available on resources like Google, Stack Overflow, GitHub, and more. But it has never been as accessible as it is now. By simply asking questions, you have access to a wealth of knowledge in one place, in a sort of one-on-one interaction or conversation that none of the other tools had offered or exposed in this manner.

With AI, the developers have become a one-person army, allowing them to write code faster, use any programming language they wish, document their work, reduce the time spent debugging issues, create more efficient and secure codes, and even enable instant learning. It can even teach programming or understand outcomes on its own.

AI has changed the world; as with any change, adaptation is necessary. The developers’s job no longer revolves around writing code but evaluating and ensuring that the code generated by AI meets its goals and desired requirements. It’s like an airplane pilot: even though autopilot manages the flight, the pilot makes the tough decisions.

By utilizing AI, the developers have no limits, only infinite possibilities to use their imagination. They just need to learn how to use these to their advantage.
